Strong Bible Verses about Freedom from Oppression

He made them also to be pitied by all those who carried them away captive.

The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound.

Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.

Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him out of them all.

To crush under one’s feet all the prisoners of the earth, to turn aside the justice due a man before the face of the Most High, or subvert a man in his cause—The Lord does not approve.

But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.

Thus says the LORD: In an acceptable time I have heard you, and in the day of salvation I have helped you; I will preserve you and give you as a covenant to the people, to restore the earth, to cause them to inherit the desolate heritages.

Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.

In a time of deceit telling the truth is a revolutionary act.

For to be free is not merely to cast off one's chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others.

I will not be moved; I will not be broken; I will not be defeated.

Freedom is never voluntarily given by the oppressor; it must be demanded by the oppressed.

The past is never dead. It's not even past.
