I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.

Now when the sun was setting, all they that had any sick with divers diseases brought them unto him; and he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them.

And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.

And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.

Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached.

The greatest single cause of atheism in the world today is Christians who acknowledge Jesus with their lips and walk out the door and deny Him by their lifestyle.

We have all known the long loneliness, and we have learned that the only solution is love and that love comes with community.

We cannot heal the world today, but we can begin with a voice of compassion, a heart of love, and an act of kindness.

Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.

Unless we are all able to help the sick and the suffering, we are not worthy of being called human.
