When my mom was diagnosed with cancer two years ago, everyone kept saying they’d pray for her healing. I appreciated it, but honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Does God still heal people today? Is it always physical? What if the prayers don’t work the way we want?
I started digging through the Bible looking for answers and found way more about healing than I expected. Jesus obviously did a lot of physical healing, but there were also verses about emotional healing, broken relationships, and spiritual restoration. Some stories had instant miracles, others showed gradual recovery.
What surprised me most was how many different types of healing scripture talks about. Sometimes it’s about bodies getting better, other times it’s about hearts finding peace or minds getting clarity. My mom’s cancer treatment went well, but the real healing happened in our family relationships during those months.
I learned that healing isn’t always what we picture. Sometimes God heals the thing we’re asking about, sometimes He heals something we didn’t even know was broken. Both are real, both matter.
Whether you’re dealing with physical illness, emotional pain, or just need hope that broken things can be made whole again, these 30 verses cover healing in all its forms.
